The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of inflation, leverage,
interest rates and firm size on stock returns. This research is a quantitative
research. The source of data used is secondary data in the form of company's
financial and annual reports. The population used in this study are mining
companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2017-2019 period. The
data collection technique used purposive sampling technique so that the samples
obtained were 38 mining companies. The data analysis techniques used in this
study are descriptive statistics, classical assumption test, multiple linear
regression analysis, statistical hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate
that the inflation, leverage and firm size variables have no positive effect on stock
returns, while interest rates have a positive effect on stock returns.
