Abstract

This study aimed to determine the feasibility of the coconut waste craft business in the Manunggal Karya group, Purbalingga Wetan Village, Purbalingga District, Purbalingga Regency. This research was conducted in Purbalingga Wetan Village, Purbalingga District, Purbalingga Regency. This research was conducted to see whether the business carried out could be profitable and feasible to run. The research method used in this study was quantitative. Purposive sampling was utilized using a sample of 27 respondents who were selected based on certain preset criteria. The data were analyzed to determine the production costs of coconut waste, the receipts of coconut wastes, the income from coconut waste, and the feasibility of the coconut waste business. Data were collected by interviews, observation and documentation. The R/C ratio was employed for this study's analysis. Age, gender, educational level, and length of business were among the characteristics of respondents. Glugu and coconut shell were the raw materials used by 27 respondents. The craftspeople can empower the Purbalingga Wetan community by encouraging Purbalingga Wetan youths to collaborate on increasing the sales volume of the products created. Based on R/C ratio analysis with a value of 2.74, the Manunggal Karya group's coconut waste business, Purbalingga Wetan Village, Purbalingga Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency, is feasible to develop.
