Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of PPKn teachers in developing the disciplined character of students at SMP Negeri 2 Purbalingga. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data collection methods in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects studied were students, Civics teachers, BK teachers and also the vice principal of student affairs. The data analysis technique that the researcher uses is data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research on the role of Pancasila and civic education teachers in developing the disciplined character of students during the pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Purbalingga, it was revealed that Civics teachers in learning act as models and role models and guides for students. Constraints faced in developing discipline occur because of the lack of awareness of students and the facilities owned by students. The solution is to always motivate students and the school has provided supporting facilities for students who have limited facilities.
