Abstract

This study focuses on the moral values in the novel Janji Hati by Elvira Natali. The purpose of this study is to describe the moral values in the novel. This was descriptive qualitative research using a moral approach. The data used by the researcher is a quote based on the moral values in the novel Janji Hati by Elvira Natali. The data collection technique used by the author in this study is the reading technique and the noting technique. The researcher reads repeatedly to obtain data, then classified and understood the data to write research results so that it is easier to analyze and adapt to theories about moral values. The analysis technique is carried out by means of the data that has been obtained and collected and then analyzed to conclude. This technique aims to confirm and account for the data under study. The results of this study found there are three types of moral values, namely the moral relationship between humans and themselves, the moral relationships between humans and other humans, and the relationship between humans and their God. The three types of moral values have positive and negative moral values, such as responsibility, irresponsibility, caring, indifference, positive thinking, negative thinking, discipline, annoyance, hatred, enthusiasm, admitting mistakes, stubbornness, sincerity, dishonesty, fear, maturity, independence, sadness, kinship.
