Abstract
This study aimed 1) to determine the profile of Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih, Moga Subdistrict, Pemalang Regency, 2) to determine the application of production management to tea commodities at Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih 3) to find out the problems that occur in production management at Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih, 4) to find solutions to overcome problems in production management at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih.
In this study, a descriptive method with a qualitative approach was employed. The foreman of the production division, the officers of the production division, and the assistant of the production technique were selected as respondents in the study using a saturated census of employees and random sampling, totaling 12 people. This research was carried out from August to December 2021.
The findings of this study showed that PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih had experienced a decline in production over the last 5 years, which was caused by a lack of quality workforce owned by PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih, the provision of a salary system for its employees, and the delays in finding the materials needed during the Covid-19 pandemic because, on inter-city trips, someone had to show Covid-19 documents that had been implemented by the government and the machines had not been updated. PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih, originally a merger of two garden units formerly owned by a Dutchman and Kongsi NV Handles Masechapy, namely Kebun Semugih and Kebun Pesantren, implemented production management through four stages: planning, organizing, implementing production, and supervising production. The problems and solutions that PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih can handle are categorized into several categories, including: Man, namely PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih's lack of quality workers, PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih had issues with social limitations during the Covid-19 pandemic. Money, PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih had challenges with social limitations during the Covid-19 pandemic, notably in paying salary to its employees. Materials, including encountering difficulties in obtaining the materials required by PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX Kebun Semugih, as well as difficulty moving between cities during the Covid-19 pandemic and having to show the government-issued Covid-19 documentation, Machines, specifically in the production machine sector, Manajemen Produksi Teh ..., Aditya Dwi Prihamono, FPP UMP, 2022
