This study aims to describe the teacher's strategy in remote learning using
the powtoon and quizizz application technology at MI Muhammadiyah Ajibarang
Kulon and the obstacles faced by the teachers. This study uses the descriptive
qualitative method. Data collection techniques using interviews and
documentation. The subjects of this study consisted of the school principal,
classroom teachers, and students. The results showed that the remote learning
material using the powtoon application was made by the teachers with interesting
animation and content. The learning evaluation given by the teacher used the
quizizz application and it was given once in every completed sub-theme learning.
The implementation of remote learning is carried out using the Whatsapp Group
to deliver learning material and the links of quizizz. Remote learning activities
using technological devices could improve students' insight and knowledge during
studying from home. Besides, the results of the obstacles faced by teachers in
remote learning strategies, namely students' unstable internet connection, Gadget
devices of students, lack of teachers' understanding and ability in creating and
operating technology applications.
