This study aims to describe the types of imperative sentences contained in the translation of the Al-Quran Surah Al-Anfal. This was qualitative research. The data were in the form of imperative sentences contained in the translation of the Al-Quran Surah Al-Anfal. The data source was the translation of the Al-Quran Surah Al-Anfal. The method used is a mixed-equivalent and distributional method. The data collection used reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this study showed several types of imperative sentences in the translation of the Al-Quran the surah Al-Anfal including ordinary, requesting, inviting, permitting, and prohibiting imperative sentences Those imperative types were described based on the characteristics and the context of sentences. Most of the sentences in the translation of the Al-Quran Surah Al-Anfal are compound sentences.
