The final stage of a student's long journey which is also the culmination of all academic activities in college, each student certainly mobilizes all the energy and thought he has had since the beginning of the final assignment. The final assignment done by the final year students, especially in the Informatics Engineering Study Program, S1 Muhammadiyah University, Purwokerto, often encountered problems. Among them is the difficulty of students in choosing the topic of thesis. This is the basic thing that determines the final result of the student's final assignment. From this, a decision support system is needed to help students choose and determine the topic of the thesis using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Weighted Product (WP) methods. AHP method is used to give the weight of each thesis topic selection criteria, namely, thesis topic user data, type of thesis, reference, level of difficulty, ability field, not plagiarism, having a minimum of 3 and latest journals or references (5 years), fulfilling 5W + 1H , and the suitability of the course with the topic of thesis. WP method is used to sort alternatives in the form of any thesis topics that are suitable to choose. From the results of the calculation of the topic of the thesis using the AHP and WP methods it has been declared consistent. So using this method can be used to help students choose and determine the topic of the thesis.
