Uncontrolled Keywords: This study aimed to determine the general depiction of Wanadadi, the development of Pencak Silat Tapak Suci Martial art dojo in Wanadadi, constraints and efforts to improve the achievement of Pencak Silat Tapak Suci Martial art dojo. Based on the problems and objectives of the study, this research was conducted by using historical method by testing and analyzing past relics. The stages of research by using historical methods were as follow: 1. Heuristics (searching and gathering resources), 2. Criticism; it included external criticism from the outside (the authenticity of sources) as well as internal criticism from inside the source (source credibility) 3. Interpretation; interpreting and connecting the data. 4. Historiography or historical writing. Agricultural sector became the main livelihood of the people in wanadadi since its geographical location is located next to Serayu River. Wanadadi also has Pencak Silat Tapak Suci martial art dojo. With the presence of the martial art dojo, Wanadadi received its nickname as Kampung Silat because of its achievements and development of Pencak Silat martial arts. The improvement of pencak silat in Padepokan or dojo Wanadadi is different in each period of its headship. On the Progress, Padepokan Silat Wanadadi experienced various obstacles and efforts in advancing pencak silat in Wanadadi.
