Abstract

The research of road pavement condition is one of the stages to determine the type of evaluation program that is necessary to be done. One of the ways of the assessment is by using the comparison of Bina Marga method and Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. This research aimed to compare the pavement condition value of Bumiayu Ring Road based on those two methods and was done by field observation. The primary data were the results of road damage survey. The priority order of handling the road by Bina Marga method was based on the score range of 0 to 100. The results showed the same percentage of damage on Bumiayu Ring Road on Bina Marga and PCI method that was 0.01% and the smallest percentage was 0.0002%. The comparison result of assessment on the conditions of Bumiayu Ring Road Section with Bina Marga method showed that the value of priority order was 5 that indicated that the condition of the road was in the Periodic Maintenance Program, while the assessment of PCI method showed that the PCI value was 80 and it was in a very good condition. However, it is suggested that regular maintenance is necessary to be done.
