This study aims to describe the use of basic noun synonyms in the article of Lajnah Pentashihan Mushaf Alquran (LPMQ) or a committee in charge of checking or correcting each Al-Qur'an Manuscripts. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. Research data in the form of sentences in which there are nouns in 9 Article titles of the activities of the LPMQ in the Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia in October 2018. The source of data in this study is the paragraphs in the article discourse on theactivities of LPMQ in the Research and Training Agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion. The technique of providing data in this study uses the note-taking technique. Data Analysis Techniques in this study used distributional method. The basic technique used in the distribution method is the segmenting immediate constituents technique (BUL). Substitution technique was used as the following technique. The results of data analysis were presented in an informal method. The results of this study indicate that in the articles of activities of LPMQ are (1) Forms of using nouns: use of place nouns of two data; noun quantity of three data; and nouns full of sixteen data. (2) Synonyms of a high degree from the basic nouns in the discussion are fewer than synonyms of a low degree. This is due to several factors, namely: the factors of meaning nuances and place.
