At this time the smartphone has become a means or media of
information for various purposes and contains the user's personal information.
Therefore, smartphone users need to have information security awareness.
Information security awareness is the level of knowledge, attitudes, and behavior
of a person regarding information security problems or threats. This test has the
aim to determine the level of knowledge, understanding, and reasoning for
information security. This study conducted a smartphone information security
awareness test on students of Muhammadiyah University in Purwokerto by using
vocabulary and scenario tests. The average student UMP can only answer 7
questions correctly out of a total of 15 questions. Whereas in the scenario test the
percentage of students understanding and reasoning ump in addressing activities
related to information security amounted to 61.47%. The level of smartphone
information security awareness in UG students using vocabulary and scenario
tests is included in the poor category with a percentage of awareness level of
53.73% and action is needed to improve. Although they have a level of
understanding and reasoning, both will be difficult to do without knowledge. One
action that can be taken is to hold a seminar on the importance of smartphone
security.
