This study aims to determine the form and meaning of reduplication contained in the
book & lsquo 'Detik-detik Ujian Nasional Bahasa Indonesia untuk SMP/MTs 2019-
2020' and to determine the implications of reduplication in learning Indonesian. This
research uses qualitative research. The data used in this study is in the form of
reduplication contained in the book & lsquo 'Detik-detik Ujian Nasional Bahasa
Indonesia untuk SMP/MTs 2019-2020'. The data collection method used is the
literature analysis method of textbooks. The research instrument is human instrument.
The data analysis method uses the distributional method. Based on the results of the
study, it was found 330 forms of reduplication. The form of reduplication consists of a
total repetition of 233, a partial repetition of 49, a repetition in combination with an
affix of 42, and the repetition of various phonemes of 6. The form of reduplication is
classified into eight reduplication meanings, namely the whole reduplication meaning
with 233 data, the partial reduplication meaning with 49 data, reduplication with
phoneme variation with 70 data, the meaning of actions carried out arbitrarily, with 8
data, mutual meaning with 6 data, the meaning of somewhat being with 3 data, the
meaning of level meaning that can be achieved with 3 data at the highest, and the
meaning of the intensity of feeling is 2. In addition to reduplication data, 47 pseudorepetition
data were also found. The result of the research are used as an implication
of reduplication in Indonesian learning. This research has proven that the book Detik-
Detik Ujian Nasional Bahasa Indonesia untuk SMP/MTs 2019-2020 contains various
forms of reduplication and can also be implied in learning Indonesian for Eighth grade
students.
