Abstract
Serayu River, located in the central part of the Java island, is one of the largest
rivers in the island. The length of the river to the control point of the Serayu weir
is 118.276 km and the watershed is 3001.73 km2. Flood control efforts are needed
to reduce the risk of damage due to overflow of river water. The purpose of this
study was to find out how much flood discharge in the Serayu river. The
calculation of flood discharge on the Serayu River will use the HSS Gama I and
Nakayasu methods. Calculation of flood discharge using the Nakayasu method Qp
= 18.833 m3/sec and HSS Gama I method Qp = 59.953 m3/sec. With rainfall
intensity of 7.431 mm / hour, the peak discharge with the Nakayasu method Qp =
139.156 m3/sec and HSS Gama I method Qp = 445.509 m3/sec.
