Abstract
Concrete is the most widely utilized building material in the world. The reason for its use is that concrete provides qualified performance and can be printed with any shape needed. Concrete has a low strength on tensile forces because it has a rigid nature. The concrete strenght depend on the quality of the planned concrete and also the basic raw materials of the concrete itself. This study aims to determine the flexural strenght of concrete using the sand of Belot Baturraden River. The concrete quality used was K-275 or 22,83 Mpa and the sand material used was the sand of Belot Baturraden River. The test sample was in the from of beams with a size of 15 cm x 15 cm x 60 cm, the number of sample was 3 pieces. Samples were tested when the concrete was 28 days old. The research result include: 1) sample 1 with a slump value of 8 cm obtained flexural strength of 3,5316 Mpa, 2) sample 2 with a slump value 9 cm obtained flexural strength 3,6624 Mpa, and 3) sample 3 with a slump value of 9 cm obtained flexural strength of 3,27 Mpa. So that the average flexural strength of the three samples was 3,488 Mpa. The result of the flexural strength according to SNI 03-4431-1997 have met the flexural strength requirements, namely (0,11 – 0,23).fc’= (2,5113 – 5,2509).
