Abstract
As one of the important parts in construction works, the success of the casting unit is highly required. The success of this unit is strongly influenced by three factors, namely workers, tools, and management. These three factors are closely related to the productivity of the casting work.
This research aims to measure the productivity of bored pile casting as well as the delay factors affecting the overall time of the work. It is conducted using Method Productivity Delay Model (MPDM) by studying the movement of time's cycles and the calculation for determining the factors affecting the delay of casting works through secondary data.
The productivities of casting work using a truck mixer and service crane through MPDM are 5.87 trucks/spot for pillar 1 casting work with 24 meters depth and 6.12 trucks/spot for pillar 2 with 24 meters depth. The above productivities are still below the standard of MPDM calculation, that is 6.87 trucks/spot for pillar 1 casting work with 24 meters depth and 6.59 trucks/spot for pillar 2 casting work with 24 meters depth. The analysis result of 16 spots bored pile in casting works unit also shows an average overall time of casting work in each bored pile, that is in pillar 1 the average time is 4.909 seconds and in pillar two it is 4.704 seconds. Thus, it can be concluded that the tolls are the highest causing factor of casting works delay, that is 2.47% in pillar 1 and 4.05% in pillar 2.
