Abstract

In each production process or construction process, waste products or remaining building materials are always available. If this waste is disposed carelessly, it will certainly have a negative impact on the environment. There for, it needs an effort to recycle the existing waste so that it will reduce environmental pollution. One of the ways is utilization of granite ceramic fragments waste obtained from the remaining building construction. The study aimed to determine the effect of subtitution of coarse aggregate with granite ceramic fragments on concrete comprassive strength. This study apllied an experimental method, by replacing some coarse aggregates using granite ceramic fragments. The sample was created using a concrete cylinder with a diameter of 15 cm, and a height of 30 cm. The results of this study indicated that partial replacement of coarse aggregates with granite ceramic fragments did not meet the planned concrete compressive strength, or K – 225 (f’c 19,3 Mpa).
