The type of research used in this study is quantitative research. The purpose
of this study is to determine the effect of financial attitudes, financial knowledge,
and income towards financial management behavior with locus of control as an
intervening variable. The object of this research is the family in Panusupan
village, Rembang sub-district, Purbalingga district. Data collection techniques
using purposive sampling, data analysis techniques used in this study are multiple
linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis showed that financial
attitudes and financial knowledge have a significant positive effect on locus of
control and financial management behavior. Income does not affect locus of
control and financial management behavior. Locus of control has a significant
positive effect on financial management behavior. Locus of control is able to
mediate the effect of financial attitudes on financial management behavior. Locus
of control is not able to mediate the effect of financial knowledge and income on
financial management behavior.
