Abstract

This study aimed to find out the effect of concentration and type of urine on the success and growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L). The research was carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto in Karangsari Village, Kembaran Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency from May to July 2019. Factorial randomized block design (RBD) experimental design is used in this study. The first factor is the type of urine with 2 levels, S1 (rabbit urine), S2 (cow urine). The second factor is the concentration of urine with 4 levels, namely U0 (0 ml / l), U1 (200 ml / l), U2 (300 ml / l), U3 (400 ml / l). The results showed that urine concentration did not significantly affect all observed variables except the number of shoots. The best urine concentration to increase the success and growth of pepper cuttings is at a concentration of 400 ml / l (U3). Furthermore, the treatment of urine type did not significantly affect all observed variables. There is no interaction between concentration and type of urine on all observed variables.
