Abstract

There are many procedures that must be taken by prospective Indonesian Migrant Workers and many parties involved in the placement and protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, therefore the Government issued Law No. 18 of 2017 concerning the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers. Article 38 of Law Number 18 of 2017 mandates the Placement and Protection Services of Indonesian Migrant Workers to be carried out by the Central Government and Regional Governments in a coordinated and integrated manner and the Regional Government establishes One-Stop Integrated Services (LTSA). The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze the role of One-Stop Integrated Services for Foreign Workers Placement (LTSA PTKLN) of Brebes and find out the obstacles faced by Brebes LTSA PTKLN in carrying out its duties. The approach method used is normative juridical. Research specifications use a type of qualitative research. The location of the research was at the Department of Industry and Employment Brebes and at the Library University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Methods of collecting data with library research. The data analysis method used is descriptive-qualitative. The results showed that (1) The role of LTSA PTKLN in providing its services was not optimal, due to various obstacles faced. (2) LTSA PTKLN constraints are: there are still many obstacles such as the presence of LTSA PTKLN not yet known in the community, less budget allocation, lack of facilities and infrastructures, limited human resources, immigration services not yet available, no complaints service, yet there is a permanent hospital that is a reference.
