The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of financial literacy, self-control, religiosity and peers on consumptive behavior in students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Purwokerto. The sample of this study were active students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business Institut Agama Islam Negeri Purwokerto, this sample numbered 260 active students by taking a sample using purposive sampling technique. The research data were sourced from questionnaires given to respondents with a Likert scale and the analytical method used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that financial literacy has a negative and not significant effect on consumptive behavior, self-control has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, religiosity has a negative and significant effect on consumptive behavior and peers has positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior.
