Abstract

The four Padamara Junction is a meeting of the four directions, the North Arm is Jl. Kalitinggar, the south arm is Jl. Soekawera, the West arm is Jl. Raya Padamara and the east arm is Jl. MT Haryono. This research aims to determine the effectivenessof traffic light on the padamara. This research method using manual capacity of road Indonesia (MKJI 1997). From calculation result in existing condition with MKJI 1997 calculation method obtained degree of saturation (DS) perjunction is 1,093. Indicate of level service (F) the classification of traffic light flow, speed low, as obstracles or delay. The result of analysis of the scenario I obtained the degree of saturation (DS) is 0,93. the level indicate of level service (E), the classification of conditional, traffic approaching capacity volume, stop speed. Meanwhile, scenario II obtained degrees of saturation (DS) of 0,66. Indicate of level service (C) the classification of field condition, steady current, but the speed and motion of vehicles is limit the obvious condition traffic, Driver is restricted in selecting speed. From the results of the analysis obtained that the best treatment in the II scenario provides the results of the junction calculation for the effective time of the signal from 134 second changed to 113 seconds by performing a road widening each arm respectively 1.5 meters.
