Abstract

The research aimed to find out the effectiveness of senior high school’s Curriculum 2013 based biology learning in Banyumas Regency. It was conduced in the even semester of academic year 2017/2018 from March to May 2018. The research population was 18 public and private senior high schools which have already implemented Curiculum 2013. The sample consisted of 26 public and 7 private senior high school teachers. The research location was decided based on random and non-random technique. The data were collected through questionnaire and observations which were then analized through qualitative descriptive technique. The evaluated components of Curriculum 2013 consisted of nine indicators, namely 1) subject identity, 2) learning objectives, 3) basic competence and indicators of competencies achievement, 4) learning materials, 5) learning method, 6) learning media, 7) learning source, 8) learning procedures, and 9) learning assessment (Kemendikbud, 2016). The results showed that aspects of subject identity obtained the precentage of 94.8%, aspects of 95.1%, aspects of basic competency and indicators of achievement of competencies with the precentage of 90.5%, aspects of learning material with the presentage of 92.4%, aspects of learning methods with the presentage of 86%, aspects of learning media with the presentage of 89.1%, aspects of learning resources with of learning steps with the presentage of 90.9%, and aspects of learning outcomes with the presentage of 89%. So, high school biology learning 2013 Curriculum in Banyumas Regency belongs to the very effective category with the percentage of 90.8%.
