Abstract
Cryptography is the science of encryption techniques where data is encrypted using an encryption key that is difficult for someone who does not have a decryption key to read. Various organizations, companies, or other parties have used database technology to store and manage the data of the organization or company. To prevent that from happening, an encryption method, a science as well as an art method, is needed to maintain a file called cryptography. The algorithm provided by Softether in the data encryption. One of them is RC4. In RC4 it is combined with several other encryption algorithms such as MD5 and SHA. RC4 is a simple and easy to implement algorithm. Where RC4 generates a key stream (keystream) which is then XORed with plaintext at the time of encryption
