Abstract
The ongoing construction projects must be considered by engineers to get good quality. To get construction results with good quality, before the construction was carried out, it was necessary to consider three aspects, namely aspects of cost, quality, and time. These three aspects were closely related and important, especially the costs. This final project was made to plan a work plan and conditions, a budget plan (RAB), and a time schedule for the construction of Mechanical Engineering Laboratory of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Preparation of work plan and conditions included a description of the scope of work, technical conditions of work, a specification for materials in each preparatory work, soil, reinforced concrete, and architecture. Meanwhile, in planning the budget, it was necessary to determine the volume of work adjusted to the working drawing, and then determine the unit price of each work which referred to the price of materials and wages in Banyumas Regency in 2016. The total project cost of Mechanical Engineering Laboratory was planned to be IDR 2.100.580.300,00 which covered the costs of preparatory work, soil, reinforced concrete, roofing, architectural, plumbing, and mechanical works. To compile the time schedule, it was necessary to calculate the weight of each work, which was obtained from the comparison between the price of the entire project and the price of each work. Then, the work weight was divided by the duration of the plan for each work. The time schedule for this construction was planned to take 24 weeks. The construction was planned from August to January.
