Abstract

Chili is an important agricultural product that has attracted the interest of both government and business actors. Fusarium wilt causes significant losses in chili plants. The majority of farmers use chemical management to trea fusarium wilt disease, which leads to other negative consequences. Therefore, environmentally friendly agriculture with natural control needs to be applied in overcoming the production of chili plants, one of which is using the biological control of Plants Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGP). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving different concentrations of PGPR, different inoculation times, and their interactions on the growth and yield of red chili plants and the intensity of fusarium wilt disease. The research was carried out at Experimental Gardens 2, Faculty of Agriculture and Fisheries from February to July 2021. This research design used a split plot with 2 factors, namely the time of inoculation of fusarium F1 (21 DAP), F2 (35 DAP), F3 (without inoculation). and PGPR concentrations of P1 (0%), P2 (5%), P3 (10%), P4 (15%). The results showed that the time of fusarium inoculation had no significant effect on all observed variables, the concentration of PGPR showed a significant effect on plant height and number of leaves, and the interaction of the two factors significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, and intensity of fusarium wilt disease.
