Abstract

Supporting facilities in urban areas create an attraction for the community to carry out various activities (mobilization) to take advantage of these facilities, it, of course, has an impact on the condition of roads as liaisons between land uses. This study aims to determine the capacity of Professor Doctor Soeharso Purwokerto's roads. The research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with the matching method. Observations and documentaries were carried out to collect data on road conditions and find the value of basic capacity (Co), capacity for lane width (FCw), capacity for direction separator (FCsp), and capacity for side resistance (FCsf).
Then it is processed by adding using the formula for the capacity of the road section C = Co x FCw x FCSp x FCsf to get the value of the road segment capacity. Satellite image data is processed using a geographic information system application called Arcgis to analyze the condition and land use of the research area. The results showed that the value of the basic capacity (Co) was 2900, the width of the road lane (FCw) was 0.87, the adjustment factor for direction separators (FCsp) was 1.00, the capacity factor due to road disturbances/side barriers (FCsf) was 0.95, City size adjustment factor (FCcs) of 0.90. The value of the adjustment factor for side resistance is strongly influenced by facilities or land use. The results of the calculation of C = Co x FCw x FCsp x FCsfxFCcs show the results of C = 2900 x 0.87x 1.00 x 0.95 x 0.90 = 2.157.165 pcu/hour. In conclusion, Professor Doctor Soeharso Road has a road capacity value of 2,157,165 pcu/hour, which is less than the basic capacity of 2900 pcu/hour.
