A study entitled An Analysis of Speech Turn on A Talk Show Named Ini
Talk Show on NET TV Television Station in October 2017 aimed to describe the
turn taking in the speech turn available in Ini Talk Show conversation by obtaining,
stealing, snatching, replacing, creating, and continuing. The research type was a
qualitative descriptive approach. This research data was in the form of speech
conversations in Ini Talk Show. the source of the research data were the host and the
guest star presented in the talk show on episodes of 1041, 1046, 1050 on Youtube.
The data presentation in this study app;ied the observation method with tapping
techniques and followed up techniques, ie, Uninvolved Conversation Observation
Technique (SBLC) via Youtube. In the data analysis, the mehods implemented were
pragmatic method, ultimate constituent analysis (PUP) and the follow up technique of
equalizing technique (HBS). Based on the results of the analysis, the resultsobtained:
how to do turn taking by obtaining 302 utterances (data I was 117), data II was 107
utterances, data III was 78), stealing 131 utterances (data I was 57, data II was 51
speeches and sata III was 23 utterances), snatching 43 speeches (data I was 13
utterances, data II was 21 utterances and data III was 29 utterances), replacing 170
utterances (data I was 53 utterances, data III was 95 utterances and data III was 22
utterances), creating 64 utterances (data I was 21 utterances, dat II was 31 utterances,
and data III was 12 utterances), continuing 175 utterances (data I was 78, data II was
62 utterances and data III was 35 utterances).
