Marriage is a stage in a person's life. The desire to have offspring to complete a family is one of the many reasons for having a marriage. The purpose of this study was to examine the optimism of married couples to have children. This study employed a case study methodology and employed a qualitative research method.
Data were retrieved using a semi-structured interview method and data analysis techniques such as Milles and Huberman's interactive model. To gather valid data, source triangulation is used, which entails conducting interviews with people closest to the informants and monitoring informants.
The first finding in this study is optimism that is indicated by efforts, specifically some efforts that were made to have children, the second finding is the condition when making an effort to show what optimism is, the third psychological partner shows optimism, and the fourth finding is a mutual partner relationship. It is crucial to have optimism when it comes to having children.
