This study involved 88 students at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School. Judging from students‟ makhorijul huruf mastery. The researchers divided them into two groups: one group with high makhorijul huruf mastery and one group with low makhorijul huruf mastery. the purpose of this survey study was to compare which group pronounced English better. Data was collected through tests and interview. The tests are makhorijul huruf test and English pronunciation test. The main finding of this study is students with high makhorijul huruf mastery pronounced english sounds better than those with low makhorijul huruf mastery.
