Abstract

The low responsibility of students can be seen from not collecting assignments on time, assignments not being done, more time playing than studying, being more interested in gadgets. This study aims to implement responsibility character education, optimize personal guidance for responsibility, and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for students in optimizing responsibility character education for students. The research strategy used is a case study. The research subjects consisted of Grade II students, parents of grade II students, grade II teachers, PJOK teachers, Islamic Education teachers and Principals at SD Negeri 4 Arcawinangun Banyumas. This study uses data collection procedures, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis used is processing, preparing, and reading the entire data, as well as analyzing the details by coding the data, applying a coding process to describe the settings, the categories and themes to be analyzed. The implementation of responsibility character education for grade II students is carried out through integration in subjects, in school culture, and in extracurricular activities. Personal guidance is given in social, family, physical and mental life, using a longitudinal approach. The results showed that through personal guidance in class II students can improve responsibility character education for students.
