Abstract

This research aims to develop Student Worksheets (LKS) on job application letters in class XII SMK using a scientific approach based on the results of the analysis of the needs of teachers and students. This research uses the research and development (R&D) method according to Dick and Carry (1996) which is carried out in five stages of research, namely analysis, design, floating, implementation, and evaluation. The purpose of developing student worksheets in class XII job application letter material is to focus on improving the skills of students in writing good and correct job application letters with reference to the principles of scientific learning. After the worksheets were designed and tested for expert validity, the results showed that from one stage one expert on the didactic aspect got a percentage of 65%, the construction aspect was 61.4% and the technical aspect was 65%, from the results of these three aspects were categorized as "less feasible" . In the second stage, validation was carried out on the didactic aspect to get a percentage of 80%, the construction aspect of 80.1% and the technical aspect of 78.3%. From the results, these three aspects were categorized as "feasible". The validation test by two-stage first experts obtained results on the didactic aspect getting a percentage of 65%, the construction aspect of 65.9% and the technical aspect of 63%, the results of these three aspects were categorized as "less feasible". In the second stage, validation was carried out on the didactic aspect to get a percentage of 95%, the construction aspect of 96.4% and the technical aspect of 93.3%. Furthermore, the results of student responses to the use of student worksheets obtained results in the didactic aspect getting a percentage of 75.5%, the construction aspect of 79.8% and the technical aspect of 82.3%, from the results of these three aspects are categorized as "very good". The results of the teacher's response to the use of LKS showed that the didactic aspect obtained a percentage of 75%, the construction aspect was 86.8% and the technical aspect was 80.7%, from the results of these three aspects were categorized as "very good". Teaching materials in the form of worksheets on job application letter material are categorized as effective, to determine the effectiveness of researchers testing data using SPSS 24. Testing the effectiveness of worksheets is carried out in three stages, the first stage is normality test. the results of the normality test, the significance level of the pre-test was 0.189 and the significance level of the post-test was 0.082. Based on this information, it shows a significance level greater than 0.05 which states that the normality test is normal. the second stage is hypothesis testing, in testing the hypothesis the researcher uses paired t-test to determine the effectiveness of the student worksheet. the result is the t value is greater than the t table or 3.405> 1.701, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, which means that the use of LKS is effective in learning Indonesian in the material of job application letter for class XII SMK
