This study aims to determine the Role of Agricultural Extension Workers in the Development of Farmers in Baturaden District, to determine the constraints faced by agricultural extension workers in Baturaden District and to determine BP3K's efforts in increasing the role of agricultural extension workers in Baturaden District. The method used in this study is a survey method. The data are collected through interviews, observations, documentation. Descriptive analysis is used to determine the role of agricultural extension workers, to determine the constraints faced by agricultural extension workers, and to determine BP3K's efforts in increasing the role of agricultural extension workers in Baturaden District. The results showed that the role of extension agents in the development of farmer groups in Baturaden District played a role in carrying out their tasks as motivators, educators, communicators, catalysts, organizers, and consultants, instructors. Meanwhile, the constraints faced in the field by the motivators are dominantly on motivation and disciplines, constrains of the motivators are dominantly on material comprehension, constrains of the catalysts are their dominantly on cooperation between agencies, constrains of the organizer were dominantly on passive farmers, the constrains of communicators are dominantly on communication and the constrains of the consultants are dominantly on their dependence on extension workers. Lastly, the efforts of BP3K in increasing the role of agricultural extension workers are done by increasing the intensity of the training curriculum and by increasing the role of institutional support for extension services.
