This research concerned about the character education values in the biographical text of BJ Habibie, Ki Hajar Dewantara, and RA Kartini,and their relevance as teaching materials on Bahasa Indonesia in Senior High School. This study aimed to describe the character education values in the biographical texts that can be applied as teaching materials on Bahasa Indonesia.This was a qualitative research with descriptive method and the subjects were the biographical text of BJ Habibie, Ki Hajar Dewantara, and RA Kartini. The data were analyzed by (1) reading the texts, (2) categorizing the data based on the figures characters, (3) analyzing the figures characters in the texts and giving an exposure to describe the characters, and
(4) concluding the analysis result. The results revealed that: (1) the character education values in the texts included the value of toughness, intelligence, confidence, nationalism, democracy, self-awareness, respect, and curiosity; (2) the biographical texts are appropriate to be used as teaching materials on Bahasa Indonesia in high school due to the values in the texts that can be emulated by students
