Abstract

Arca Weir is one weir that was built to regulate the big debit of the Pelus river water discharge in Banyumas Regency, Central Java. Pelus water river water is used to irrigate rice fields, the ned of water must be planned. Arca Weir is located in the Administrative Work Area of Dukuhwaluh Village, Kembaran Subdistrict, Arca's Kedunglimus Network is a technical irrigation network with a single irrigation system which includes collection from Arca Weir, while the irrigated rice field area is 1,212. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between height of Mercu Bendung Water Levels and Optimum Discharge in the First Planting Period. In this study the results of the analysis showed that based on the elevation of the highest light water level and the optimum discharge in the first planting period occurred in December of the 1st period. Debit in December is quite high, due to high rainfall in the headwaters of the river. In order to avoid a large surge in discharge it is necessary to conserve the catchment area in the upstream area, so that not all rainfall is distributed into the surface flow that enters all into the river.
