Abstract

As one of the seed companies in Indonesia, PT. Seed Citra Asia carries out various activities in order to meet the needs of seeds from production to marketing seeds. Bintang Asia products are more guaranteed legality because logos, brands, product names and packaging designs have been patented at the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights, PT. Benih Citra Asia products have also been registered with the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture and received Decree of the Minister of Agriculture. Its products are protected by Plant Variety Protection Law No. 29 of 2000. (Anwar A, Sudarsono and Satriyas I: 2005) The objectives and problem formulations of this study are: 1) Knowing the characteristics of the company at PT. Benih Citra Asia at PT. Seed Citra Asia, Cimanggu District, Cilacap Regency, 2) Knowing the marketing network at PT.Benih Citra Asia, 3) Knowing the marketing management of red chili at PT. Benih Citra Asia. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The formulations of the problem include: 1) What are the characteristics of the company at PT. Seed Citra Asia, 2) How is the red chili seed marketing network at PT. Benih Cita Asia, 3) How is the management of red chili seeds marketing at PT. Asian Image Seed. The results showed that the characteristics of the company include the length of the business since January 3, 2006, the business location is located in the western part of Central Java, precisely in Cimanggu District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java Province. The company's location is at an altitude of 70 meters above sea level, or is in a lowland area. The raw materials used are red chili seeds, business capital, there are 2 types of red chili products that can be F1 and darmais F1, the volume of the product is the average revenue and the average profit. . Meanwhile, the company's marketing network includes market players. There are 2 actors involved in the marketing channel: namely distributors, retailers, farmers and distributors, retailers, collectors, and farmers. Marketing management includes marketing planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling / evaluation. The types of products produced are abable and darmais red chili seeds with a production of 36 kg / year with an average acceleration of Rp. 87,500 and an average profit of Rp. 63,000,000. The marketing channel consists of the marketing network of distributors, retailers, farmers. The marketing process begins with the distribution of red chili samples for the demonstration plot.
