Abstract
This study aimed to discover the feasibility of STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics)-based Biology learning module in Environmental
Change material. The development was conducted using ADDIE model which
consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and
Evaluation. This research was held in SMA Negeri 1 Baturraden with a sample of
32 students of X MIPA 1 class. The data collection instrument used was a
validation questionnaire given to material experts, linguists, teachers, and
students to find out the feasibility of the module; a questionnaire feedback on the
application of the module in learning process which was given to the teachers to
find out the practicality of the module; as well as a test given to the students to
know the effectiveness of using the module in improving student learning
outcomes. Based on the module feasibility test results, the average percentage of
feasibility by material experts, linguists, teachers, and students was 82% (very
feasible category), 81.2% (very feasible category), 74.70% (feasible category),
and 80.8% (eligible category) respectively. While the average evaluation score of
the practicality of the module by the teachers was 3.00 (good category) and
students gave a positive response to the module developed. The use of the
developed module also fulfilled the effective criteria shown by the results of the
pretest and posttest scores which were analyzed with the N-Gain formula of 0.38
(medium category). Based on the results of research and discussion it can be
concluded that the STEM-based biology learning module is feasible as Biological
teaching material on Environmental Change material.
