Abstract
Tidal land is a wetland that is affected by tidal conditions. Losari Lor village has a tidal land area of 94.05 Ha. This study aims to determine the problems and obstacles in tidal land management for agriculture in Losari Lor Village, Losari District, Brebes Regency. The study uses an observational method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Questionnaires and interviews are used to collect the data. The population of farmers is 134 people, a sample of 35 people was taken using proportional sampling technique. The data used are primary and secondary data. Descriptive qualitative analysis in the form of text, tables and maps is used as the data analysis. The results showed that there are some problems in the management of tidal land such as inadequate water supply network due to the absence of sea water drainage, land management that still uses semi-modern technology, cultivation of plants that only rely on some rice types and the use of local quality, and the difficulty of obtaining subsidized fertilizer. Meanwhile it is also found some obstacles of tidal land management such as the lack of capital, difficulty in finding labor and expensive wages, and institutions that are less active in providing counseling. Tidal land management in the case of irrigation systems use a rotating system of water supply to agricultural land and good fertilization with dolomite lime.
