Abstract
Ibuprofen is an analgesic drug of the Non-Steroid Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) a derivation of arylacetic acid. This drug is used to reduce the pain caused by inflammation in various conditions of rheumatism and arthritis. Spectrofluorometric method is one of the good methods that can be used for the analysis of drug compounds. The purpose of this study was to investigate the validation method for analyzing ibuprofen in tablets and to determine the value of ibuprofen in tablets through spectrofluorometric method. The method of this research was non experimental research. Validation methods conducted were linearity, precision, LOD / LOQ, and accuracy. The result of the research was ibuprofen can be analyzed by spectrofluorometric at 260 nm excitation wavelength and 294 nm emission, and the range of standard curve that can be used was 0,5-75 ppm. For the validation of the method, the value of KV in the precision test waa 0,573%, the average recovery value in the accuracy test was 99.92%, the linearity value was indicated by the correlation coefficient value (r = 0,99909> r table = 0,959), the limit value detection and limit of quantity obtained for 5,629 ppm and 18,764 ppm, and the average grade value obtained in this research was 100,064%. Based on the results obtained it was concluded that the validation method by using spectrofluorometric method was valid.
