The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of overconfidence, financial literacy, self-image/firm-image, social relevance, advocate recommendation, personal financial needs on investment decisions for college students in Purwokerto. The sample selection in this study was done by purposive sampling. Based on the criteria, there were 127 respondents who became the sample. The data analysis techniques used in this research are instrument test, descriptive statistics, classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis show that the variables overconfidence, financial literacy, social relevance, advocate recommendation, personal financial needs have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions, while self-image/firm-image has no effect on investment decisions.
