Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of quantum learning on the ability of critical thinking mathematically and self efficacy students. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 4 Bantarbolang. The sample classes used were Class VIII D (Experimental Class) and VIII E (control Class) using random sampling cluster technique. This research uses posttest design only control design. The validity test used is the correlation product moment Pearson, the reliability test used is the Cronbach alpha and the data hypothesis test analysis conducted using the independent T-Test by using the help of SPSS 21.0. The results of the hypothesized testing analysis of posttest for the critical thinking skills of mathematics students obtained the value of sig. = 0.000, the value of sig. Smaller than the value = 0.05 then Ho rejected, the ability of critical thinking mathematically students who follow quantum Learning is better than students who follow direct learning. The result of the analysis of the questionnaire for self efficacy obtained the significance value of = 0.298, the value of sig. Greater than the value = 0.05 then Ho accepted, self efficacy students who follow quantum learning are not better or equal to the students who Follow direct learning. It can be concluded that quantum learning affects the ability of critical thinking students mathematically and quantum learning has no effect on self efficacy students.
