The increasing growth and development of transportation has caused in the increasing number of vehicles scattered on the road. Kutasari District has shown symptoms of road parking problems. The study aims to determine the effect of parking on the performance of Tobong Road. Analysis was carried out with the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The results was the growth of traffic volume and inadequate parking spaces will accelerate the reduction road capacity. This is shown by the decreasing of effective width due to parking. Therefore, it will reduce the value of road capacity from 1496 smp/jam to 1450 smp/jam.
The saturation degree value with parking at peak hours on Tobong highway was 0.61. This results shown that the road service can be categorized into class B level. Whereas if there is no parking, the saturation degree value was 0.58. this result is categorized in level A. In conclution, street parking cause an effect to tobong road service level.
