Abstract

The connecting road of Kembangan - Karanggedang village is one of the alternative roads in
Purbalingga district. Road conditions along the 4000m will have an impact on road user safety,
with this study aimed to determine the type, level of damage to the road and the value of road
conditions and handling. This research was conducted through a survey, namely by measuring
the length, width, depth and area of each type of damage. After all data has been collected, then
evaluate using the Pavement Condition Index Method. From the results of the research that the
most types of damage are on the Jalan Kembangan - Karanggedang condition index value (PCI)
Jalan Kembangan - Karanggedang at 72,26% with a rating of "very good". The handling of road
damage repairs is based on PCI values of 72,26% with a handling time of 6-10 years and the use
of P3, P4, P5, P6 methods.
