Abstract

Hidrogel developed so far as dressing the wound is hidrogel with base polymers without the addition of a drug, for it in penelitiaan was developed as a wound dressing with hidrogel addition of Polypropylene Glycol Demitakrilat (PPGDMA) that is expected to be made in accordance with hidrogel standard. The making of hidrogel PVA-PPGDMA developed by dissolving PPGDMA together with PVA 10% (b/b) before it is carried out with gamma ray radiation crosslinking. Variation of the concentration PPGDMA used is 0%, 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, and 15% (b/v). The characteristics measured include the fraction of gel, swelling ratio, and mechanical properties. Chemical structure and morfologinya analysed using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The results showed that with the addition of PPGDMA percent elongation hidrogel down and reverse pull and strong gel fraction hidrogel ride. The results showed the addition of material PPGDMA can raise strong pull and a fraction of the gel, but lower elongation of hidrogel formed.
