Abstract

The increasing growth and development of the transportation sector has impacted in the increasing number of vehicles scattered on the road. Bobotsari city has shown symptoms of road parking problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of road parking toward capacity of Colonel Sugiri Highway. The analysis based on the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997. The results of the analysis can be concluded that in the absence of market activity, especially for parking, the side resistance class is Very Low (VL), while in used for parking conditions, the side resistance class is Medium (M). The value of road capacity if there is no parking is 1699 pcu / hour and reduced to 1650 pcu / hour due to parking. From these results, the road capacity has decreased by 2.88%. So, the reduced width of the road caused by road parking can impact the decrease in road capacity.
