This study aims to describe dysphemia based on the type of words and taste values in the opinion rubric with political topics in the February 2019 edition of the Kompas daily newspaper. This study uses a semantic approach. This is qualitative descriptive research. The data of this research consist of 39 data in the form of words containing dysphemia. Sources of data in this study were taken from 15 data in opinion rubrics in politic theme in the February 2019 edition of Kompas daily newspaper. The object of this study is dysphemia including the types of words and taste values in the opinion rubric with political theme in the February 2019 edition of Kompas daily newspaper. The study was conducted through four stages, namely (1) providing data using the method of reading and recording, (2) analyzing the data using the method of distributional and referential comparative. Segmenting immediate constituents technique (BUL) and referential comparative with the basic technique of dividing key-factors technique (PUP) are used in this distributional method with an advanced technique of equalizing technique. (HBS), (3) results of data analysis were presented in informal methods, (4) The validity of the data is obtained through triangulation theory. The results of the research analysis revealed that dysphemia based on word type classification consists of (a) dysphemia based on 2 types of verb, (b) dysphemia based on 2 types of nouns,(c) dysphemia based on 4 types of adjective, (d) dysphemia based on 1 type of interjections. Meanwhile, dysphemia taste values consist of : (a) the value of dangerous flavors were 4 words, (b) the value of inappropriate taste were 9 words, (c) the value of bad taste were 5 words, (d) the value of rough taste were 12 words, (e) the value of hard taste were 9 words.
