Abstract

Almost every component related to the digital world is related to identity such as email authentication, bank accounts, and so on. In everyday life even identity is very important as a means of facilitating communication. The need for identity also covers all elements of the general public to the academic community at the Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto. When someone meets a new person, the main thing that needs to be obtained is identity. This identity is obtained manually or typing one by one the data to be saved into contacts. However, problems arise when someone wants to get an identity from someone else while that person has a busy schedule. This is quite time consuming, less effective and less efficient. The use of business cards containing identity is considered the right solution to overcome these problems. More specifically the use of business cards in the academic community of the Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto there are no lecturers, students or employees who are used to share identity. Business cards consist of name, position, company, telephone number, company address, home address, website email. These problems can be solved by using applications that can facilitate and shorten the acquisition of identity through the use of business cards by utilizing QR (Quick Response) Code. Based on the type of system development research, this study uses the Waterfall model method. The results of this study are in the form of the Tuma ID application, an android-based business card application that is expected to make it easier for users to share identity through the use of business cards with QR Code that can help the process of entering identity data quickly without typing.
