The aims of this research are to know students’ attitudes towards learning and to
describe the teacher’ factors in influencing the students’ attitudes towards English
Learning. This study involved students of Pharmacy Faculty at Universitas
Muhammadiyah Purwokerto in the Academic Year of 2018/2019. The total
population is 167 students. By using random sampling, 42 students were chosen
as the sample. Questionnaire and interview were used to collect the data.
Questionnaire was distributed to the subject, to collect data. The subject filling the
questionnaire regarding the three aspects of attitude i.e., cognitive, behavioral, and
emotional. Interview was used to collect data of the students attitude in relation to
teacher factor. From finding, it showed that the higest percentage was on
cognitive indicator that reach 79%. The lowest percentage was on behavioral
indicator that reach 71%. Then, five students of the subject were chosen to be
interviewed. The result showed positive attitudes towards English learning. Based
on the research findings, some recommendations were finally presented.
