The research aims to describe the types of phrases in the text of snack
packaging in Indomaret. This is a descriptive qualitative. The data in this study were
in the form of phrases in snack food packaging in Indomaret that were collected in
February 2017. The research was carried out through three stages, namely, the
provision of data using the listening and noting method, the data analyzing using
distributional and deletion method, and the presentation of results data analysis using
informal methods.
The types of phrases based on the syntactic behavior of the phrase elements
are endocentric and exocentric phrases. In endocentric phrases consist of (1)
coordinative endocentric phrases, (2) attributive endocentric phrases, (3) apositive
endocentric phrases. The exocentric phrase is divided into two, namely: (1) the
directive exocentric phrase and (2) the non-eccentric exocentric phrase. While the
types of phrases based on the class of words consist mainly of (1) nominal phrases, (2)
verbal phrases, (3) numeralia phrases, (4) adjective phrases, and (5) adverb phrases.
Research on the types of phrases in snack wraps in Indomaret found in this
study include: attributive endocentric phrases, coordinative endocentric phrases,
noun phrases, adjectival phrases. In this study 92 data were found. The study included
92 attributive endocentric phrases in the first level, 45 attributive endocentric phrases
in level II, 7 attributive endocentric phrases and 2 coordinative endocentric phrases.
In noun phrases, it was found 92 phrases for level I, 45 noun phrases for level II, 5
noun phrases for level III and adjectival phrases were found in 2 phrases.
