Abstract
In this studi, the making of granular urea SRF was carried out by wet granulation method. Activated carbon and zeolite (60;20) were mixed with 60 ml urea solution and then stirred and oven for 3 hours at 110°C ti form a mixture of CZU (Carbon Zeolite Urea). CZU was then granulated by adding 10 grams of clay. The granulation process was carried out at a certain time and with the addition tapioca flour adhesive with a certain concertration. After that, the granules that had been formed were oven for 24 hours at 40°C. Then the granules were sieved and tested for physical characteristics and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). From the tests that have been done, it is found that the longer the granulation time, the greater the value of 2-5 mm, ehile the durability value decreases and the results of the dispersion time are longer. Then, the higher the concentration of tapioca flour adhesive, the greater the value of the bulk density value, water absorption (DSA), the percentage of 2-5 mm granules, and the durability, while the dispersion time is longer. It shows that the granulation time and adhesive concentration significantly influence the granules physical characteristics of granular urea SRF.
